Matthew grew up as an active but small kid and was drawn into the gym with the desire to be bigger and stronger. He found that keeping active through footy throughout his childhood and into his teenage years was beneficial to both his physical and mental health. However, after multiple injuries, Matthew had to gain an understanding of the importance of strength training and injury prevention techniques. As a trainer, he wishes to pass this knowledge on to his clients so that they an become the strongest and most confident version of themselves.
For those starting out in fitness, Matthew advises on the importance of consistency stating to “Stay consistent with your training! Stay consistent with your diet! Stay consistent with your sleep! If you’re consistent in these areas, it’s only a matter of time before you start seeing results.”
Matthew’s training style is dependent on the client and their goals but typically focuses on strength training and sports performance.
When not at the gym you can catch Matthew staying active with footy, heading down to the beach, going for a round of golf, or relaxing playing video games.
