“Focus on yourself.”

Growing up as a competitive dancer, Maddi always had a passion for movement and physical activity. However, when COVID-19 hit in 2020, she found herself in a challenging position both mentally and physically. Maddi gained a significant amount of weight, and her motivation plummeted. In 2022, she decided to make a change and joined a gym. During this time, she had a life-changing consultation with her current coach, who introduced her to the world of strength training. With dedication and without resorting to excessive cardio or restrictive diets, Maddi lost 10kg in six months. This transformation inspired her to help others, leading her to switch careers from childcare to personal training. The most rewarding aspect of being a trainer for Maddi is making a positive impact on her clients’ lives and being a part of their fitness journeys.

 

For those who are just starting their fitness journey, Maddi’s best advice is to avoid comparing your beginning to someone else’s progress. She encourages focusing on yourself, setting personal goals, and remembering that everyone’s journey is unique. Patience and persistence are key, and progress comes with consistent effort.

 

Maddi’s training style revolves around strength and weight training. She believes in the power of building strength and muscle, which not only enhances physical appearance but also boosts confidence and overall well-being.

 

Outside the gym, Maddi enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family, camping, going out for breakfast or frozen yogurt, and watching footy.

According to my friends I always seem to know every song that would come on in a public place word for word!

What’s your favourite meal?
GYG Chicken Burrito!

If you were an animal, what would you be and why?
I probably be a Koala, all they really do is sleep and I love my sleep!
