Matt has always had a love for sport, growing up playing everything he could and still chasing improvement on and off the field today. His passion for training levelled up when he became fortunate enough to represent Australia in Blind Cricket, where the support from high-level fitness staff inspired him to become that person for others – from beginners to elite athletes.

To those starting their fitness journey, Matt’s advice is “Day One, not One Day.” It might feel scary, confusing, even deflating at times, but that’s all part of the process you learn to love – and people genuinely want to help you change your life.

Matt’s training style is harsh but fair. He’ll push you to your limits for results, while bringing a casual, supportive vibe to every session.

Outside the gym, Matt competes in Blind Cricket and Para-Triathlon, enjoys gaming with mates and loves finding secret waterfalls and lookout spots on hikes.

Get to know Matt

Q: What’s your hidden talent?
A: Very rarely completely tripping over. I may be legally blind but the repeated training to stay on my feet is astounding, even for myself!

Q: What’s your favourite gym exercise?
A: Romanian Deadlifts. Being skinny and more of a cardio physique, but being able to throw on the 25kg plates (and more) on a bar gives me a sense of happiness.

Q: If you were an animal, what would you be and why?
A: A wolf. (got 2 tattooed on my arm). They are the closest animal to resemble myself. They are sociable enough to stay in a pack, but also more then welcome to roam and be alone when need be.
