“Find what you enjoy!”
After watching a heap of ‘Jersey Shore’ as a small 15-year-old, Declan knew he wanted to look like one of those guys. After getting into training at the gym, Declan experienced firsthand what exercise could do to a person’s confidence and became a trainer so that he could help people in their own journey. Declan recognises that there’s still so many misconceptions and misinformation within the industry, and he enjoys being able to be a trustworthy and positive influence to his clients.
To those who are just beginning their fitness journey, Declan says to find what you enjoy. He reminds us that it’s not about training specifically for how you want to look, it’s also about loving the process, stating that “fitness is a big wide world, and you are bound to find a method of training that you can enjoy and stick too.”
Declan’s training style is based on enjoyment and intensity. He ensures his clients train with purpose and enjoy the process by working together and sticking to a plan to achieve the set goals.
When not at the gym, you’ll find Declan hanging out with his dog Norman, watching or playing sport, and going for a cheeky pint with friends.
